We’ll start wherever you are right now. In three months, the changing of a season, you’ll gain a mastery of basic framework of Permaculture Thinking. Not only will you have an actionable plan for implementing the first phase of your landscape plan, you will have the skills and confidence to observe, interact, identify patterns, design to the details, and implement all the phases as your journey unfolds. I’ll be your coach and guide as long as you’d like.

How You Get There

The overarching theme of the process are 3 major steps:

I have devised an efficient, step-by-step process, teaching concepts and skills along the way. You will learn by doing, by training your mind to consider the implications of both actions and inactions in your landscape. I’ll be available daily for support, guidance, and answers.

Here’s A Detailed Breakdown of the Package

1. Personalized Permaculture Coaching:

My coaching includes personalized, one-on-one guidance tailored to your specific situation, needs, and goals. I’ll work closely with you to ensure you gain the skills and knowledge to manage your land sustainably.

2. Direct Line of Communication via Voxer

This walkie-talkie type makes it easy to communicate with me about your project. It is primarily used to send voice memos but can also send photos, videos, and texts. This is awesome for quick clarifying questions and in-the-moment help. There’s no hassle with composing a text or email — and it works great if you are out in the field when you have a question!

3. Quarterly Site Visits:

In our first Season of Coaching, we’ll get together on your site after we have created some design concepts. We’ll collaborate to create a phase one design of your new landscape plan. In each subsequent Season of Coaching, I’ll visit your site to provide hands-on help, assess changes, and offer advice. These visits are so helpful for keeping your project on track and addressing any new challenges or opportunities.

4. Monthly Phone or Video Calls:

We’ll use these calls to teach the important concepts and skills of permaculture. I’ll explain these concepts using your unique land as our classroom.

You will receive recordings, transcriptions, and notes for all of our calls. I will upload these directly into our file sharing folder. No need for you to download or keep up with organization.

5. Guided Exercises To Make You A Permaculture Pro, Fast!

Empowering you with knowledge is my goal. You’ll receive assignments designed to develop your Permaculture mindset and skills, forming the foundation of our coaching sessions. I will provide personalized guidance, feedback, and collaboration.

6. Custom Base Map and Collaborative Design:

I’ll make a detailed, scaled basemap of your property, including topography and key features. I’ll work with you to create a collaborative design map, ensuring your vision comes to life while giving you the skills, guidance, and advice to empower you to maintain and change your design over time.

7. Monthly Community Calls (coming soon, still in development):

Join my monthly video forums to connect with other clients, share experiences, and gain timely advice. These sessions are perfect for building a supportive community around shared values and goals.

8. Annual Barbecue:

Celebrate your progress and connect with other clients at my annual barbecue. This event is a wonderful opportunity to tour my land, share insights, and enjoy a festive gathering. With all your new permaculture knowledge, I’ll love to hear your thoughts on my land!

10. A Gift Box Shipped To Your Door

As soon as you sign up, I’ll send you a box with all the tools you’ll need to learn and execute very useful technical drawing skills. I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. No sense in you figuring out what it is you need — you’ll have it. Compass, Drawing Board, Pens, Pencils, Scales and Rulers, etc. And some stuff just for fun too like stickers and an original, permaculture-themed, letterpress art print that I collaborated with my awesome printmaking wife to make.
